What Barq Player is — and is not
Barq Player is a technical media player. We do not host, provide, distribute, or control any media. Users are solely responsible for the legality of any source they add to their account.
What we collect
We collect the minimum needed to operate the player: your account email, the sources and preferences you save, and operational telemetry (errors, basic playback events). We never sell or rent your data.
How we use it
To authenticate you, play the sources you add, sync your library across your devices, and improve reliability. Aggregate analytics help us prioritise features.
Who we share it with
Only the infrastructure providers we need to run the player (database hosting, content delivery). Each is bound by a data-processing agreement.
Your rights
Access, export, or delete your data at any time from your account settings — or by emailing privacy@barqplayer.com.
How we protect it
Row-level security on every account, encrypted transport, credentials encrypted at rest, and immutable audit trails for sensitive actions.
